This site has been developed to serve consumers, healthcare workers, attorneys, and law enforcement officials seeking information on the ‘drug’ Lupron (leuprolide) and its associated health risks. Also explored will be the problems with lupron’s approval by the FDA, lupron’s history and ‘science’, the marginalization of lupron victims – and, in short … every pertinent thing I’ve learned or written or received regarding the ‘drug’ Lupron/leuprolide in nearly 20 years. Over the course of this time, I’ve accumulated much information and many documents and letters, and I want to put this information in the public domain fyi.
My exposure to lupron was through ‘treatment’ of endometriosis and infertility (IVF), but those considering or using lupron for other indications (such as prostate cancer, fibroids, egg donation, surrogacy, precocious puberty, autism, Alzhiemers, etc.) will find much information within this site that pertains to them (i.e., see LupronSUQS at left).
However, a focus of this site will be upon the risks inherent in reproductive technologies (IVF), egg donation, and embryonic stem cell research.
Since taking lupron in 1989, I have experienced multiple health problems, and became disabled from my career as a registered nurse in 2003. From 1992 to 2003, I extensively researched the risks of lupron throughout Boston area medical libraries, and over the years have tried to bring attention to the dangers of this ‘drug’ (through contact with state and federal agencies, Congress, consumer groups, the media, the grapevine, the courts, and drafting legislation, to name a few). And I had the ironic pleasure of spending some 16 hours inside TAP/Abbott’s ‘lupron files’ as an RN/Paralegal during discovery in a lupron class action case (settled). I also worked very closely with the National Lupron Victims Network from 1994 to 2001, when they, their 10,000+ “lupron victims’ surveys”, and all my provided research information, inexplicably disappeared.
I have been planning on putting all this information back online within this site for a long time, but I’ve been very sick - and since March 2003 have been hospitalized 32 times “due to the development of gastroparesis post-lupron” - so this site’s debut has been greatly delayed. There will be much more information posted in the near future, hopefully in a well organized fashion - but for now I am just throwing up some key pieces of information (and I throw up a lot). So this is a ‘Work In Progress’, therefore please stay tuned.... |
